BioI was concieved in the Summer of Love and born three years later to Guatemalan-Ukrainian immigrant parents in sunny Gold Beach, Oregon where I was raised by a toothless bearded hag and schooled with a strap across my back. I developed an interest in art after a torrid love affair with a troupe of wandering art-gypsies, and attended UCLA medical school (University of Crawfish, Louisiana) where I pioneered the development of the artificial appendix, and in fact crucial parts of my designs are still in use to this day.
I joined the US Army upon graduation where I worked on the PATRIOT missile system before anyone had ever heard of it. I got my Honorable Discharge and missed going to Operation Desert Shield (which became Desert Storm) by about three weeks, later discovering that my unit was one of those defending Tel Aviv, Israel.
In 1992 I became an anonymous donor for the National Marrow Donor Program, and in fact was the first anonymous donor for the brand new Gulf Region branch of the NMDP in Houston, TX. The man to whom I donated survived without a hitch and now inexplicably has the urge to draw naked horse-people having sex. Go figure.
I have been more-or-less active in the furry art community since 1990, when I played the first black unicorn character ever on FurryMUCK. I moved to California in 1994 where I began my apprenticeship under master machinist and movie prop maker Ed Kline and his gorgeous assistant Kishma Danielle, from whom I have continued to learn machining, art, costuming, and inter-personal communication. The three of us along with house-mate Ben Camacho were Guests of Honor at Further Confusion in 1999.
In 2002 I started an online comic strip called Unicornography, with which I have a love-guilt relationship and which has recently recieved a substantial make-over. The strip was nominated for the Ursa Major Award for Best Anthropomorphic Comic Strip in 2003, to which it lost to none other than Kevin and Kell.
Nowadays I spend my time not drawing the comic strip, doing various furry and non-furry art projects, working as vice-president of a fledgling acting troupe called Nocturnum, developing a local children's television show, and designing, building and running a haunted house at Hobb's Grove in Sanger, CA. Life is good, if somewhat weird.
